The National Apology on Forced Adoptions 10 years ago can never erase the pain and suffering endured by so many, or the pain and suffering which so many still endure.
It was a profound moment. A moment when we
took responsibility as a nation for the policies and practices which were responsible for causing so much pain and suffering for so many.It was a moment when we cast sunlight on historical wrongs.
We should all remember this anniversary and continue to strengthen support services for those people affected by forced adoptions.
