Join us for an update on 2 big issues before federal Parliament right now – fixing the climate crisis and tackling the chronic shortage of social and affordable homes across the country. Adam Bandt will discuss Labor’s Safeguard Mechanism bill and how it makes the climate crisis worse by allowing the country’s biggest polluters to keep on polluting with new coal and gas projects. Adam will also talk through our negotiations to try to fix this bill and reduce emissions. Max Chandler-Mather, Federal MP for Griffith will explain how Labor’s housing bill sounds good but will actually make the housing crisis worse and what we’re proposing to ensure that we build enough social and affordable homes to put a real dent in the social housing waitlist.
