Calling all future leaders! If you could speak to the House of Representatives, what would you say? I am pleased to announce the My First Speech competition for high school students.
Imagine yourself as the newly elected Member for Mayo and film a 90 second first speech highlighting the issues important to you and to our electorate.
The top three entries will be given the opportunity to fly to Canberra with a parent or guardian to present their speeches live at Parliament House. Entries are now open! So, if you’re in Year 10 through 12, send your first speech application through to [email protected] before 4:30pm on the 31st of August 2022.
