$2 Million Injection To Boost Cystic Fibrosis Research
Applications are now open for WA-based research projects through the WA Cystic Fibrosis Research Collaborative Program (CFRCP) to explore innovative solutions for cystic fibrosis.
The CFRCP has been launched as a new partnership between the State Government’s Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund and Cystic Fibrosis WA in collaboration with Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.
The partnership, made possible through the FHRI Fund’s Co-Funding Partnerships Program, has enabled new funding of $2 million for research across four streams.
Applications for the Research Innovation Grants and Collaborative Grants streams are now open.
Since its establishment in 2020, the FHRI Fund has awarded approximately $215 million in grants to more than 655 recipients, driving health and medical research and innovation across the State.
Cystic Fibrosis WA was established by a group of parents in 1975 and has become a leading not-for-profit organisation offering a range of services, resources and support for people affected by cystic fibrosis.
Conquer Cystic Fibrosis is a volunteer-run charity focused on raising funds for research through flagship events.
Applications are now being accepted via the WA Cystic Fibrosis Research Collaborative Program website.
