A Labor-green Government Will Shut Down Tasmania’s Salmon Industry
A Labor-Green Government will kill Tasmania’s salmon industry and the communities that rely on it.
Shadow Minister for the Environment, Fisheries and Forestry and Senator for Tasmania, Jonno Duniam, reinforced this point today.
“The truth is, Labor cannot stay in power without support from the Greens,” Senator Duniam said.
“Just yesterday, we saw the Prime Minister refusing to rule out a deal with the Greens.
“Tasmanians have seen this nightmare before.
“Labor has already thrown a serious cloud over the future of these vital jobs here in Tasmania and the truth is, Labor cannot stay in power without support from the Greens.
“A Labor-Green Government in Canberra means the end of our salmon industry, the end of our forestry industry, no more renewable developments, the list goes on.
“Only a Coalition Government can guarantee that they will never, ever sell-out Tasmania’s salmon, mining or forestry industries and their communities in order to keep mainland Greens happy.
“This means more reckless spending and more extreme environmental ideology.
“Tasmanians can’t afford to risk that.”
