Abhorrent Attack In Alice Springs
I condemn the abhorrent, unprovoked attack on a 21-year-old Danish tourist in Alice Springs.
The woman was allegedly assaulted in a horrifying and senseless act in broad daylight.
Violence of any kind has no place in our communities.
It is completely unacceptable that anyone should be subjected to such a traumatic experience.
Our thoughts are with the victim as she recovers in hospital.
We thank Northern Territory Police for their swift response arresting the alleged offender.
Everyone deserves to feel safe.
