On Thursday new laws were passed in Victorian parliament that will see peaceful protesters faced with fines of up to $21,000, or 12 months in jail, for trying to save our environment.

The same day VicForests began logging in an area identified as greater glider habitat in East Gippsland. This comes just weeks after the state of environment report sounded a code red for our environment and species being pushed to the brink of extinction – like the greater glider.
