Adam Bandt

Melbourne’s live music scene is where we grow our magnificent artistic talent.

Bands we love got their start on small stages around the city, where up-and-comers who wanted a gig could get one.

But right now live music in Melbourne – and across the country – is in crisis. Venues are struggling to keep their doors open and artists are struggling to pay the bills.

Daniel Andrews and the Victorian Labor should step in to save live venues from closing, just like The Tote which is in the final 2 weeks a huge campaign to keep its doors open.

Artists, arts workers and hospitality workers need good venues where they can build community and earn a living wage.
