This is a win for the First Nations peoples and climate activists who have been fighting to stop this terrible project for years.

Origin’s decision to step back from fracking the Beetaloo Basin is thanks to the power of community pressure – but the fight isn’t over.

The project can still go ahead, which would unleash 34 billion tonnes of carbon emissions.

This is why Labor Government should come out and block the project altogether, so we can focus on investing in clean energy.

It’s why we need a Climate Trigger in our environment laws, and why we’re pushing the Government to get rid of fossil fuel subsidies from the upcoming budget.

We can’t be unlocking more coal & gas in a climate crisis.

Let’s keep pushing! 💪🏻
