The major parties teamed up today to vote down a Senate inquiry into a bill on banning gambling ads. This is incredibly disappointing - but not surprising given their track record.
The government is yet to respond to Peta Murphy's review on gambling harms which contained 31 recommendations. That review was tabled in June 2023.
Australians are sick of relentless gambling advertising. It's time the major parties finally listened.
