Today Parliament came together for the condolence motion on the terrorist attack in Bondi, one of the darkest days in modern Australian history. We honoured the 15 precious lives we lost and remember the light each of them brought to their families and our community. May their memories be a blessing.
And now, we must be clear: we will not let the terrorists win. We can emerge from this a better country, but only if each of us takes responsibility for strengthening our social cohesion. All of us must reflect on how we can get better at disagreeing well.
