“I wouldn’t have been able to afford this medicine last year but now I can.”
Cara has lived with endometriosis since she was 11.
When she moved out of home, she had to stop her treatments because she simply couldn’t afford it and her health got worse.
Thanks to Labor’s cheaper medicines, Cara can now get the medication she needs.
Already we’ve cut the cost of Slinda from almost $80 to $31.60. And tomorrow we’re introducing legislation to make every medicine on the PBS even cheaper – just $25 max.
We’ll keep working to make sure everyone can afford the medication they need.
