Emergency Operations precinct in Moruya | #LIVE from Moruya
Moruya’s emergency services have been running bushfire responses out of the local hall because they don’t have a dedicated facility. During Black Summer, they spent 80 days operating from a room filled with smoke.
Federal and NSW Labor will commit $25 million to an Emergency Operations Precinct in Moruya, including a much needed Emergency Operations Centre.
It will bring everybody together into the one area, and will allow our emergency responses to be coordinated and quick.
It will make Moruya and the South Coast more resilient and will serve this community for decades to come.
Our emergency service workers are the best of Australia. A Labor Government will back them so they can do their job.
