Labor will save The Hunter’s GP access after hours service
Labor will save the Hunter’s GP Access After Hours service.
Just about every family in the Hunter has used the GP Access After Hours service.
But after two years of Liberal cuts to the service, hours have been reduced at clinics right across the region.
Worse, the clinic at Calvary Mater Newcastle permanently shut down on Christmas Eve, right in the middle of a pandemic.
The clinic I visited today in Toronto on Lake Macquarie used to close at 10pm. Today it closes at 4pm.
The community have righty been outraged by this.
Unlike the Morrison Government, Labor has heard the message loud and clear.
A Labor Government will restore funding to the Hunter GP Access After Hours Service.
We believe Australians should get access to healthcare when they need it.
Labor built Medicare – and we’ll always stand up for it.
