Live from Kurri Kurri | Investing in green hydrogen in the Hunter

Workers in the Hunter Valley already produce vast quantities of power, and under a Labor Government they will have a better future with secure jobs.

Labor will ensure the power plant at Kurri Kurri will have a future with a green hydrogen plant, guaranteeing a role for the station and its workers as well as affordable and reliable power for decades to come.

It will provide secure and sustainable jobs for people in the Hunter.

And it will help the Hunter region to become a hydrogen hub for Australia and the world.

A boost to green hydrogen demand means a boost to renewables like solar and wind, which are needed to create green hydrogen.

It’s part of our Powering Australia plan to cut power prices, create jobs, and boost renewable energy.
