There have been no tourists in the Blue Mountains for months. Like many regions across Australia that rely on tourism, Scott Morrison’s lockdowns are hitting people hard.
Echo Point in Katoomba is fenced off, and the local businesses in town are feeling it.
Business owners, like the local bus operator and baker that Susan Templeman MP and I spoke with today, are worried about support being pulled out before the tourists come back.
As restrictions ease, we need to make sure these business survive.
