Dr O’Donoghue made history with her efforts to bring about meaningful and lasting reconciliation between
Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.She endured discrimination right from her childhood, separated from her family, her language and even her own name.
It could have given her every reason to lose faith in her country, but she never did.
