Last night, Labor and the Liberals teamed up to pass new dangerous and overreaching laws limiting speech and political expression.
These rushed laws include many things to be concerned about, including deeply worrying implications for people’s ability to protest.
We should not be criminalising the ability to speak out against human rights abuses and criticise governments, whether that be of Israel, Russia or even Australia.
Shame on the major parties for rushing through these scary new laws despite strong opposition from both experts and community.
