Senator Rhiannon on why the Greens membership should be involved in any leadership ballot
Last night I spoke to the ABC about the Greens leadership transition and how I believe that future leadership ballots should be decided by party members, not just MP’s.
Greens members play a very important role in the party. They have an input into Greens policies, preselections and leadership positions in the party and should also vote on party room leadership. I look forward to working with the new Greens leadership team. I also look forward to a discussion in the party on the issue of our next leadership ballot being open to the members of the Greens.
