We are in the middle of a gendered violence epidemic. 5 women have been murdered by men's violence so far in 2026 already.
Yet in the past week we seem to have had more of a national conversation about shark culling than dealing with men's violence.
We've had countless inquiries into this crisis, with hundreds of recommendations. We know what needs to happen - the Government just needs to fund it.
My message to the Labor government is this: women deserve to be safe - we needed urgent action on this epidemic years ago and any further delays and excuses are costing lives.
