A price of carbon pollution is the best way to transition into a low-carbon economy and drive innovation and investment needed to build a clean energy nation.
Only the big polluters — around 500 — will pay based on every tonne of pollution they emit.
All the revenue raised will go to households, industry and supporting the programs for tackling climate change.
