We’ve already cut $3 billion in student debt for 3 million Australians, and made sure loans never grow faster than wages into the future. Next, we’ll wipe a further 20% off student debt – it’s the very first thing we’ll do when Parliament returns in July.
This will mean less debt and more money in your pocket.
You might also have seen that earlier this month, on 1 June, student debt was indexed … Don’t worry! Labor will wipe every HECS debt by 20% and backdate it to before this indexation was applied.
