ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
A tropical low (16U) is forecast to develop within the monsoon trough later this weekend. 16U is slow to form and there is large uncertainty with the progression of its developmental phase over the Top End. The heaviest falls are now expected to be offshore of the western Daly coast.
Isolated heavy rainfall may occur within thunderstorms throughout the weekend and a severe thunderstorm warning will be issued should those conditions eventuate.
This warning is now cancelled.
