Bayside Marks Mourning Day for Bondi Attack Victims
Bayside’s flags will fly at half-mast on Thursday 21 January, joining all government buildings across Australia for the National Day of Mourning to honour victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.
We invite our community to pause for a minute’s silence at 7.01pm and place a candle in your window or on your doorstep as a sign that ‘Light will win, a gathering of unity and remembrance’.
The City of Bayside stands with our Jewish community and extends our love and support. Now, more than ever, let’s show unity, compassion, and strength against hatred and violence.
We remain committed to social cohesion and inclusivity. If you or your loved ones need support, please reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14, Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 and Kids Helpline on 1800 551 800.
