BINS4Blokes Aids Men With Incontinence Freedom

We know it’s not something you’d normally talk about – so we’re making life a little easier for you.

We’re trialing incontinence product disposal bins for men in our libraries, community and aquatic centres.

This is in support of the BINS4Blokes program which aims to improve quality of life and reduce the stigma around male incontinence.

Nearly 70 per cent of Australian doctors surveyed by Continence Health Australia reported that men never or rarely discuss continence issues in their appointments.

Research also shows 50 per cent of men living with incontinence are likely to avoid situations where they don’t have access to bins to dispose of continence products.

We’re initiating change by opening the discussion, raising the issue and trialing the bins for our community, because male incontinence isn’t as uncommon as you might think – you’re not alone. You’re just not talking about it!

BINS4Blokes is an initiative of Continence Health Australia and is supported by the Commonwealth Government under the National Continence Program – an Australian Government initiative.

If you experience incontinence, call the National Continence Helpline on 1800 33 00 66.
