Biosecurity is the new… yellow
The department’s beloved robot dog Spot has had a makeover. For the last 18 months, the Innovation Pilots team has travelled far and wide with Spot, showcasing his skills in helping his human friends undertake routine surveillance activities, detect potential biosecurity risk materials and improving workplace safety.
After all his hard work, the team has given Spot some well-earned TLC. Having accumulated a little wear and tear from recent adventures, Spot’s old wrap was removed and replaced with a new shiny vinyl coat.
Spot is now decked out in his favourite colour yellow, complete with black trim and Australian Government branding. He showed off his new look at AgriFutures evokeAG 2024 Conference in Perth on 20-21 February 2024.
If you do happen to see Spot out and about in your travels, be sure to compliment his new coat—you’ll have a friend for life.
