💵 $200-$500k available for Kennedy communities 👇
Recently I was contacted by the the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Senator Murray Watt, about an opportunity for community groups in our electorate to seek significant funding to boost their drought resilience.
Community-based organisations are eligible to apply for a grant of between $200,000 to $500,000 to strengthen community networks, capabilities and networks that support drought preparedness.
This could be projects, events, initiatives, training, capability building and small-scale community infrastructure projects that assist local people and communities to prepare for future droughts through improved capability, and networks.
I encourage all Kennedy community organisations with innovative ideas to submit an application, with the deadline 5pm September 26.
