Katter gives gov dept a good kick š„¾š„¾
Iām calling on the Department of Infrastructure to stop dragging its feet and announce the QLD rPPP grant recipients before the federal election! While other states know where their funding is going, Queensland is still waiting ā and thatās just not good enough.
If these grants arenāt awarded before caretaker mode kicks in, it could be six months before anyone gets an answer ā or worse, the whole program could be scrapped if thereās a change of government. Councils like Cloncurry Shire have worked tirelessly on applications for critical projects like their airport upgrade, only to have the rules changed at the last minute.
This delay is unacceptable and risks millions in funding for regional Queensland.
