Mount Isa ➡️ Julia Creek to speak and listen at the NWQROC conference.
Plus I caught up with some locals and we spoke about the role the Julia Creek region should be playing in this critical minerals era, particularly with Vanadium.
Then, it was onto a Mid-West station where the water innovation was an inspiration.
There I caught up with Errol Entriken who has done an amazing job to divert water from small creeks running through his property, into self-made channels and dams.
While it barely rains there, he’s had water running into his property every year but one for 22 years!
This is out in the Midwest!
It was amazing to see his paddocks of lush green grass among acres of brown plains.
So, when a Qld Govt “report” tells you there isn’t enough water for dams in North Queensland, perhaps it could learn a thing or two from Mr Entriken.
