Canberra Ignores Tasmanian Industries
Key Tasmanian industries have been the losers in the 2025-26 Federal Budget tonight.
Labor has dudded local business by ignoring vital reforms that industry have been calling for.
It’s massively disappointing the Albanese Government has allocated zero dollars to the much-needed Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme.
There are also no reforms to the insurance industry to support our tourism industry.
It leaves Tasmanians with no confidence that the Albanese Government have a plan to support Tasmania’s key industries which are so critical to growing our economy and creating jobs.
