Our CFS has worked so hard over the past week fighting the Deep Creek bushfire. The 1,000 aerial operations have been led by Aerotech, a SA company that's a world leader in bushfire rapid response.
But Aerotech and other companies like it, are waiting on the Federal Government to approve regulations (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Part 43) to simplify maintenance requirements.
These regulations were put together by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and are supported by industry, but they've been sitting on the Transport Minister's desk since October 2024.
Let's cut the red tape so Aerotech can get on with the job.
