I speak often about the crisis in men's violence against women & children in Australia and it's even worse for First Nations women who are 7x more likely to be the victims of intimate partner homicide.
So I really welcome today's release of the first ever dedicated plan to end violence against First Nations women and children.
I look forward to seeing the details of the commitment of $218.3 million in new funding for Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to deliver specialist support services & congratulate Tanya Plibersek for delivering this.
