In the wake of the Bondi terror attack targeting the Jewish Community I called for the early return of parliament so we can progress necessary legislative and regulatory changes and welcome the government doing this.
These are important changes the government is proposing and they need to be dealt with.
At the same time, it’s important people have a chance to be heard, the details of the legislation scrutinised and respectfully debated. I will do my best to listen to my community, consult in the time available and reflect their views in the parliament.
