Ovarian cancer is the most lethal cancer impacting Australian women today.

Today, I got support from all Senators for a motion urging greater investment in gynaecological cancers, including ovarian cancer.

I've written to the Government asking them to allocate $70 million to support the proposal by lead by Ovarian Cancer Australia, WomenCan Fundraising, @Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to plug service gaps, bolster social supports and scale-up research and ultimately save lives.

Part of this could come out of the Govt's $24.83 bn Medical Research Future Fund, which has money sitting idle that we could be putting into finding the next cure.

Thank you to all the women and families who have reached out to me over the past month to share their stories.
