@the_acoss new report shows concessions from property investors cost the budget more than the government spends on social housing, homelessness and rent assistance combined 🤯

Sensible changes like capping the number of investment properties that can be negatively geared, limiting capital gains tax to new builds to incentivise supply & having a national plan for housing that's tied to population, immigration and workforce.

Politicians need to find the courage to pursue structural reform & to start treating housing as a human right.
