We are only five weeks into the year and, already, six women - including three First Nations women - have had their lives taken by men's violence. We should not accept this as a country.
We have the evidence and solutions we need to respond to this crisis but we need to crack on with delivery if we are to make meaningful progress toward eliminating violence against women and children.
That includes fully funding frontline services. Here in Canberra our DVCS is facing a cut to their funding while demand skyrockets. We need to address prevention and invest in men's behaviour change programs as well as funding crisis & longer term services.
