This week we're debating a bill to set up a new body to oversee Commonwealth contributions to the cost of education - but it's not been tasked at looking at how much the C'wealth is charging students. By delaying its own pledge to undo the Morrison-era Job-Ready Graduates scheme, the government is retaining a punitive and inequitable policy that's damning students to decades of excessive debt.
