Five Graduates Begin Their Career Journey At DPLH
The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage has welcomed five new graduates to its 2026 Graduate Development Program, marking the start of an exciting year of learning, collaboration and professional growth.
Selected from a competitive pool of nearly 250 applicants, the graduates bring diverse academic backgrounds and perspectives that strengthen the Department's capability and future workforce.
Their onboarding experience featured interactive activities that introduced them to the Department's work across planning, lands and heritage, while fostering early connections with colleagues across the organisation.
Over the next 12 months, graduates will:
- complete structured rotations across the Department
- work on multidisciplinary and State-significant projects
- receive mentoring and professional development
- engage with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
Upon successful completion, graduates transition into permanent roles, supporting long-term career development within Western Australia's public sector.
