ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:

FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA WITH HEAVY RAINFALL

A tropical low over the western Top End is moving into the Timor Sea during Sunday and will continue moving west for the next few days. This could bring widespread rainfall, with some isolated heavier falls in parts of the Flood Watch area.

Catchments are moderately wet in the Flood Watch area.

River level rises, localised flooding, and overland inundation are possible in parts of the Flood Watch area, which may affect road access. Some communities may become isolated. Check road conditions before travelling.

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchment(s): Katherine, Tiwi Islands, Mary and Waterhouse
