Grants Boost Territory’s Unique Lifestyle
Restoring our unique Territory lifestyle remains a priority, with the Finocchiaro CLP Government funding community initiatives through Power and Water’s 2026 Community Partnerships Program.
Minister for Essential Services Steve Edgington said Power and Water’s annual Community Partnerships Program provides opportunities for local community groups and organisations to apply for funding for community initiatives.
“The Finocchiaro CLP Government is backing Territorians with funding for community initiatives that strengthen our unique Territory lifestyle.”
‘This year we will support a variety of initiatives, including a sun smart program in Alice Springs, a men’s mental health program in Darwin, First Aid training, and skills-building in robotics for teachers in Darwin and Katherine.
‘It’s fantastic to see such a diverse range of events supported, reflecting the different interests and needs of Territorians,” Mr Edgington said.
The successful recipients were:

Noone Left Behind Founder Rebecca Ross said, “This grant is invaluable for helping us establish Territory Blokes – a Territory-first initiative designed to connect men through practical, accessible and community-led activities.
“The funding will help us build the Territory Blokes online platform, deliver year-round connection opportunities, and roll out key initiatives such as the Territory Blokes Awards, International Men’s Day Lunch, Blokes Big Day Out, Renovate Your Mate and regional roundtables. Together, these activities will create safe spaces for conversation, strengthen mateship, improve access to support services, and ultimately drive better health, wellbeing and social outcomes for men right across the Northern Territory.”
Power and Water’s Community Partnership program includes different levels of partnerships, including major partnerships, community partnerships and in-kind community event support through our portable water stations and water trailers.
