Grants of up to $15,000 available for young Aussies in STEM
The Sponsorship Grants for Student Science Engagement and International Competitions 2024 offers grants of $1,500 to $15,000 to eligible Australian students.
This grant opportunity gives schools and community groups the funds to sponsor a student or group of students to take part in STEM:
- engagement events
- activities
- competitions.
Grants are for both local and overseas events and cover up to 100% of eligible costs. $1.6 million in funds is available for the 2023–24 financial year.
This grant will:
- support students in STEM, including those from historically underrepresented groups
- increase the number of students taking part in local and overseas STEM events
- encourage more students to choose a career in STEM.
Grant applications close 5:00 pm AEDT on 4 April 2024.
