Grants Up to $3K for School Environmental Projects

Funding up to $3,000 is available for preschools, childcare centres, primary and high schools in the North Sydney local government area (LGA) through Council’s Green Schools Grants program. But be quick – applications are closing Sunday 30 March.

The grants will support school communities to implement environmental initiatives.

Projects can focus on plastic waste, energy, water, climate change, biodiversity or other activities related to the environment and sustainability.

Mayor Zoë Baker says: “Council is proud to support local schools to run on-the-ground environmental projects. These initiatives can help protect our environment by reducing waste and carbon emissions, and contribute to healthy local wildlife habitats that thrive for future generations. What’s more, they can support students to become environmental leaders in our community.

“If you have a project that can make a difference, I encourage you to apply.”
