Growing Australia’s quantum industry: webinar
As part of the 2023-24 Budget, the government announced two programs to boost Australia’s quantum sector:
- Australian Quantum Growth Centre
- Critical Technologies Challenges Program.
Together, these programs make up a $60 million investment to grow Australia’s quantum ecosystem over 4 years. They mark the first set of actions to be delivered under the National Quantum Strategy.

Dr Cathy Foley, Australia’s Chief Scientist will host the webinar. Dr Foley is Chair of the National Quantum Advisory Committee and recently led the development of the National Quantum Strategy on behalf of the government.
Dr Foley will provide an overview of both programs and how they will help achieve the government’s vision for quantum.
Webinar registrants will also be invited to participate in a series of consultations in the coming weeks.
