Content warning: Discussion of suicide
Tonight the community of the Upper Murray gathered for Corryong Spirit.
This was a night to remember those we have lost to suicide, and to recognise the many courageous people in this community who have endured hardships since the terrible bushfires of 2019-20.
Inspired by the Winter Solstice event held each year in Albury, this is a community coming together after a difficult time.
It was special to be a part of tonight’s events. I know what it meant to the people of the Upper Murray to be able to come together like this.
