Helen Haines MP

Have you seen the new Community Services Hub across the road from Coles in Benalla?

More than 10 different health and community agencies from across the North East have combined to create this beautiful welcoming space.

So far the hub is open from 10am-2pm weekdays or by appointment, with plans to increase the hours gradually.

NESAY was the driving force behind the hub and CEO Leah Waring showed me around what the hub has to offer.

NESAY, Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency – VACCA, Gateway Health and Women’s Health Goulburn North East are at the hub full time.

The Centre Against Violence, Orange Door, Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service, Beyond Housing, headspace Wangaratta, Upper Murray Family Care and Wellways are at the hub part time.

The community hub model acknowledges that often when someone reaches out to a health or community services agency, they may need help from more than just one agency. It also makes it possible for all these agencies to have a presence in Benalla, something they couldn’t do alone.
