It was a pleasure to unveil the plaque for the Wises Creek-Talgarno Landcare group this morning, paying tribute dedication and commitment of past and present Landcare members.
The Landcare movement is a community-based approach to managing and protecting our natural resources – it creates more productive and sustainable farms, conserves our environment, and builds more cohesive and resilient communities.
There are more than 35 Landcare groups across Indi and the value of volunteers to keep them going can’t be underestimated.
It is a movement founded on the hardwork and commitment of land-owners, community groups, traditional land managers, Landcare facilitators, schools and volunteers.
