It’s a tough competition but I think Mansfield might have the most picturesque showgrounds in Indi.
I was lucky to catch up with Lynn, Trevor and Andy from the Mansfield Agricultural and Pastoral Society to
inspect the recent upgrades to the Mansfield showgrounds.This includes the new shade sails for the sand arena, which I nominated for funding under the Stronger Communities Programme in 2021.
Also underway is the planting of elms and other trees around the grounds for shade, which received grant funding in recognition of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee.
These upgrades are a big draw card for locals and visitors. The Society holds the grounds on trust for future generations, and they are doing a great job in building this community asset.
Preparations are already underway for the Mansfield Show on 18 November, pencil it into your diaries now and I will see you there!
