It’s been a busy couple of days in Washington DC. This morning our delegation met the US Department of State to discuss foreign policy and US-Australian relations.
It was a great opportunity to grow my understanding of our partnership and understand the US’s perspective of the world.
Tonight I will attend an event hosted by the Parliamentary Task Force on Human Trafficking along with fellow MPs and policy leaders including activist and Nobel prize nominee Rushan Abbas.
The Task Force is a group of Parliamentarians, government leaders, and lived-experience experts who are committed to combating this humanitarian crisis.
What an extraordinary experience it has been so far. I am grateful to the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) for facilitating these important meetings.
