Recently, it was my honour to present Australian flags to 3rd Wodonga Scout members, Caitlin Weppner and Elizabeth Powels, to take to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in August.
The 15 year old Catholic
College students are excited for this wonderful opportunity and sold a lot of snags, collected a lot of cans, and walked a lot of dogs, to make it happen.The girls will join thousands of other scouts from across the globe. And while there will be some 140 activities for them to choose to do, they were unanimous in looking forward to meeting new friends and learning about different cultures.
Caitlin and Elizabeth are wonderful ambassadors for their scout group, school, community, and Australia and I wish them the very best in this opportunity and Bon Voyage!
