Right across Indi, cost of living pressures, housing shortages and access to health services are widespread concerns. And now, they’re on the Treasurer’s table.
This morning, I met with Treasurer the Hon. Jim Chalmers, where I made the case for Indi’s Budget priorities.
One of the key issues I raised with the Treasurer was the need for additional Commonwealth funding for Albury Wodonga Health, which is urgently needed to facilitate the delivery of a single-site hospital – one that our region deserves.
The Treasurer also well knows that housing shortages in Indi are leaving too many without a roof over their head. That’s why I’ve included provisions for a $2 billion Regional Housing Infrastructure Fund to build the infrastructure needed to support new housing developments.
I encourage you to read the full suite of measures I’ve taken to the Treasurer here: https://www.helenhaines.org/media/haines-puts-priority-projects-on-treasurers-table/
